Progress Avoided

Not liking uncertainty, we quickly

flee from awkward

unknowing

to what

we

think

we need –

those who will

confirm what we

believe, not challenge us to seek new leads.

A Weight Too Heavy?

Even trees can carry only so much

before they break.

think we

are

not

also

subject to

nature’s laws? Is

One part of me resists.

 since I did my chair workout,
