Blown off course by March
winds, we regroup and wait for
April’s softer touch.
JDG
Wishing March wasn’t
so long-winded, didn’t love
to hear herself roar…
JDG
Overwhelmed by lots
of stuff, but made the time to
exercise today,
JDG
I love bargins,
but after unexpectedly receiving
three in a row, I grew suspicious.
Was this some kind of cosmic deal
where I would get a few small gains
in exchange for a much larger loss?
Ah, these minds of ours can sometimes
be real joy robbers.
In an empty field
squirrel chases raven over
something too slight to see.
JDG
At seventy-five
I’m done with searching.
From now on
I’ll stay open and alert,
ready for
what wants to find me.
JDG
Wasn’t.
Was.
Yet to be?
JDG
Still at it even
when the days are long
and I’m not feeling strong.
JDG
In a golden voice
forsythia begins to
sing Spring’s welcoming.
