Is it possible
to find refuge in practice
of a physical
kind? Perhaps it is but it’s
really clear, I’m not there yet.

I finished up before midnight.
Exercise practice,
day twenty-one, is done,
but it’s easy to see

Driving to work on a hazy day,
I glanced out my side window
and saw, though overcast,
the day was clear –
a reminder that what we see
depends on the the state of
the window we’re looking through.

Sunlight and shadow
exchange a lingering kiss –
evening approaches.

with practices that will, in time,
develop healthy habits of body, heart, and mind.

I try a more comprehensive replacement plan.
Nineteen days ago, I, at last, began.

Taking Thich Nhat Hanh’s
advice, saying “Yes” with each

the Then-What Nation to find
a moment of peace.
