Something To Bank On

They came dancing in,

those dark-haired twins, ages three

or so, and gave each

of us in the bank a hug.

We all left feeling richer.

Day 137 -The If Onlys

If only the flab

would melt as fast as the snow…

If only I had

am now with renewed resolve.

Snow Removal?

Lingering snow, its cold beauty gone, can’t

accept its time

 has passed. It

on.

Bridging The Generational Divide

My tongue is raw from biting;

 my cheeks swell with

 unsolicited, sage advice.

True, I do very little talking.

  My granddaughter,

in turn, does very little balking.

 Our lunch together is

an unreal, but satisfying, success.

Winter Woes

Seized by inertia.

Don’t know if it’s that I’m old

or just freezing cold.

Winter Swirl

Across the stilled pond

snow slid in a sideways dance

with wind, its unsteady partner.
