A voice cried out but
no one heard, lost as they were
in their own concerns
Over time the voice grew still
and they wondered what went wrong.

Most readers will have a cry from a voice that haunts them. Mine echoes from around age 14. I can only hope the haunting has made a difference in how I respond to others. Thank you for creating this poem! Emily
