Old tree, gnarled limbs,
landing place for all manner
of feathered creatures
waiting for the old lady
with gnarled limbs to feed them.

The imagery here is perfect and fascinating… I’m reminded of my late mother’s fingers in her later years as arthritis took over. Wonderful writing, Joan! 🙂
