As Winter Nears

“Shh, don’t tell the jays

but food has returned

to our bird feeder,”

Woodpecker announces

with multiple pecks.

Cardinal tweets an additional note,

“And keep the news from

those thieving squirrels.”

    I also laughed at the squirrels part as I have a family of them in the tree outside my window. They are always thieving the birdseed my downstairs neighbour put out lol!
