Just last week they were

decked out in golden garb,

but now their bare limbs

shiver as fall fades into

the cold and dark of winter.

    Thank you, Joan. The reason I’ve been out of the loop is that I fractured my hip early in October. One more growth experience! Your words are so meaningful. Hope to get back in touch soon.
