Heaven Sent

The first view I had

of today’s super blue blood

moon was this photo

my son took and sent my way.

So snagged was I by

earth concerns, I failed to see

 heaven’s gift high above me.

Just Asking

What if it turns out

we are an anomaly –

an untenable answer

to nature’s evolutionary question?

A Seasoned View

The hills are brown now –

a reminder that every

season can’t be green,

but if we take the time to

look there’s beauty to be seen.

Sabbath Peace

A slow emptying –

dogs and cats nod off to sleep

as rain softly falls.

Dueling Perspectives

The upside of down

is something only

optimists pursue.

Pessimists have

their feet planted

firmly underground

as they watch for

the downside of up.
