That rain-roiled pond rests quietly now
as overhead
sun reminds
us – storms
pass.

For one brief moment
the sun shines,
then grey claims the day.
Still,
those small moments had their say
JDG
“Gaba, did you know
you were born BEFORE the first computer
which weighed FIFTY TONS ?
That explains a lot,” she said.
and I had the wisdom
not to ask exactly what.
JDG
Though the sun won’t shine
I won’t whine. I’ll just
begin my exercises.
JDG
The mind itself is not the problem. How
we use it is.
Who and what
does it
serve?
JDG
We come to the end
of our knowing and a strange
new world awaits us.
Some say go forward; some say
go back. How do we decide?
I showed myself I
cared this Valentine’s Day by
gently working out.
JDG
This Valentine’s Day
I’m breathing in loneliness
and breathing out connection.
JDG
Another gray day,
but not for me. Exercise
came and rescued me.

The pond rises slowly, bit by bit, ’til
it can contain
not one drop
more. We
can
be
like this
too, taking
on more than we
can hold. I’m hoping for a gentle spill.
