Wonderstruck

As I age, wonder 

grows more frequent. I wonder

where I left my keys

and if I’m up to speed.

I wonder if I spoke too soon

or if I said too much.

I wonder if I took my meds 

and what it was the doctor said.

I wonder if I was right.

 I wonder if they’ll ever see the light.

I wonder, wonder, wonder when

all this wonderment will end?
