Song birds herald
the end of rain,
the spread of birdseed.,
the start of day.
Through the window
the cats watch
but don’t join in.

Lovely image, Joan. The birds have been vocal lately even though where I live it has still been quite cool and overcast. But sunshine today! I guess birds can herald in spring before it actually comes to fruition.
