Branching Out

Do you think trees question

their right to take root,

to branch out, to leaf,

to glisten in the sun,

to drop their leaves

when the days grow

short and cold?

Maybe we could learn

to question less.

Maybe we could learn

to live more like trees.

    I agree! Am reading THE OVERSTORY, which also gives a different perception of the ways trees grow!
