Sami made is broken,
but even if it can’t be fixed,
I’ll keep it because
it still holds pencils and memories.

This one really hit me for some reason. The last line–“pencils and memories”–contains such deeply personal imagery. This is beautiful writing, Joan. Everything you write resonates. 🙂
