Yes, my friend and I sat out the storm warnings n the Corner Bakery, ordering more coffee and brownies. Simultaneously, my grandsons were crouched in the basement of their school, while a funnel was photographed a mere mile away. It did not touch down. I offered brownies to the other bakery occupants, and the resulting laughter eased the tension. It’s all about the chocolate, as my students use to say.
