There aren’t enough seats at the table

for all those whose lives you touched.

Though you left us much too early,

you’re still here with us. Your bold yes

to laughter, loyalty, and learning,

to dogs, to daring, to Diet Coke,

to service, to silly jokes, to standing tall

inspire us to find our yeses and live them

as fully as you did your all.

Even now, we can hear you say

 “Come on guys, everyone has a seat at my table.

You just have to find a way.”
