Honeysuckle Redux

I’m almost glad the honeysuckle has come back.

It covers the branches of the tree

I stripped it from two years ago.

I didn’t know then the branches would stay bare,

that no new growth would come.

Now, once more, honeysuckle and juniper coexist

and what was bare is covered with

a sweet smelling blanket of white and green.
