Toby waited
for my son to come,
then, knowing I was
in good hands,
he gave his tail a gentle swish
and left for his final journey.
He will be deeply missed.

Thank you for your kind words, Margie. Our dogs really are a part of us. Toby wove himself so deeply into our lives and into the lives of others in the community – even the UPS man. He was one of a kind.

I am so sorry about Toby Joan. He chose you that day on Route 6 and made you stop. He was one lucky dog and my heart aches for you. Luna and I are holding you in our hearts and are sending lots of love. I miss seeing you and all our other wise women friends and look forward to the day we can give each other real hugs. In the meantime, I am sending you a huge virtual hug and Luna sends some sweet, gentle kisses.

My heart is aching for you and your family, my dear Joan. These are tender memories of your beloved Toby. I have a sweet image in my mind of you and your family looking at photos of times together.
