Words To Live By

We know he’s not a reader,

but if he had opened the book

he held tightly in his hands,

he might have come upon these words:

“Love the Lord, thy God with all thy heart, 

and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

and “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

If he had taken those words to heart

the path before him would not

 have been cleared with tear gas.
