Against a blue sky
Cardinals sit perched
on a white blossomed tree
bidding farewell to February,
welcoming the approach of Spring.

Not what I was expecting from the title – a pleasant surprise. A couple of days ago on a cloudless day, two male cardinals perched on a bare brown tree. It was a delightful spot of color on a February day. This little poem reminded me of that moment and made me smile.
