Unwelcome Home

No tail wagging,

No rushing to the door,

just a bored glance our way.

“That’ll teach them,”

they seemed to say.

“If you leave us behind,

there’s a price to pay.”

  1. Oh, Joan, I know that scene all too well. We have two cats and when we leave for a few days on a trip, they tend to want to ‘punish’ us upon our return – even though we have a wonderful cat sitter to feed them, clean their litter and pet them. They miss the lap time. I hope you’ve been forgiven by now. 🙂
