kids and dogs quickly scatter,

leaving me with vacuum’s hum.

When I next seek solitude,

I’ll know how and where to come

  1. Love this, Joan. When my son was a teen, he loved to argue about everything. When I finally had enough I would just ask him to help me with the dishes or something and sure enough, he’d quickly get out of my hair!
