Habits Of Mind

I interrupted

my mind today

as it set forth

on a well-trod path.

“Nope,” I said,

“let’s not go there.

Let’s try this

gentler path instead.”

    I love your “I interrupted my mind today…” line. It is like an internal version of Frost’s road less taken.
