In Remembrance

Once she said to me,

“I’m Bienvenida and

so are you.” She grinned

when I smiled at

her cleverness – this artist,

thinker, pharmacist,

mother, sister, daughter, wife,

friend. I’ll forever cherish

her wit and her welcoming way.

( In celebration of the life of Bienvenida Ochs whose first name means “welcome” in Spanish. )
