That sudden ruckus could not be missed –
croaks, caws, and beating wings –
a shattered peace.
The day had started serene enough –
a quiet drive,
through tree-lined hills –
and then – this angry cacophony
of pursuing crows and fleeing hawk
whose crime remains unknown.
Could this be a synchronistic reminder
to avoid squawk radio or…
how we, as a community, might chase off hawks?
