Sunless Sunday Afternoon

I sit and watch as

rain gently falls on slowly

greening hills, greeting

forsythia and Bradford

Pear, coaxing them to

fuller bloom. Though I long to

feel the warmth of sun,

I bask in silence on this

sunless Sunday afternoon.
