writing minutes
almost daily,
reflecting on
the ordinary happenings
of my life. This
unaccustomed
discipline brings
measure to my meditation,
meter to my
poetry, and
metta to life.

Joan, just yesterday I taught my creative writing students the “formula” for minute-poetry. They tried it once the “hard” way, and another with just the number of 60 syllables.
