In remembering we try to
put together
what has fallen
apart. We think
back to what we could have, might have,
should have done and
weep. Our nights fill
with if only
as guilt and anger poke and creep
about the room
fusing with a
sadness beyond words.

Joan, beautiful tribute! May I use it with credit in an article I may write for HelloGrief.org? That’s the Comfort Zone Camp web site of articles for those who have experience the loss of a loved one. I have a dozen on the site -one uses poetry.
