Driving home at dusk today, I
suddenly saw
a mountain on
the road ahead.
How, I thought, could a mountain just
appear? I knew
it wasn’t there
before. But as
I blinked in puzzlement, I saw
afresh. I’d been
making mountains
out of dark clouds.

What fun! As usual. And I make mountains out of dark clouds even more often than out of molehills. Thanks!

Joan; I just didn’t expect this ending! You surprised me, and I liked that, and the analogy of mountains (insurmountable?) being like dark clouds; beautiful.

These just keep getting better, Joan. I like this one a lot, on many levels.
