Knots of my own making bind me
tight. I fear not
knowing enough,
being enough,
caring enough to slip the “nots”
and set myself
free. I want to
learn the art of
turning obstacles into paths.
I want to die
knowing I gave
“fear knot” the slip.

I really had fun with this! So many thought provoking combinations. And I’ve been longing lately to “Live without fear,” which is the beginning of a benediction from Teresa of Avalon (I think).
Also “think” the phrase Jesus uses most often is “Fear Not!” And from scouting days, remember that a slip knot only gets tighter when you pull on the end. Thank you Joan!
