A Dappled Path

I prefer a dappled path to

full-out sun or

shade. Its mix of

ever-shifting

light paints many pictures to guide

my eye and ground

my walk, helping

me step softly,

note with special care all that’s here

so fleetingly

before the day

fades into night.
