The most essential thing, I say,

is truth, but my

teacher disagrees.

He says no more,

leaving me to wonder what could

be more core. Love

perhaps? But love

without truth could

be illusion and truth without

love could be cruel.

Awake,  I see

that joined they form

a larger core,

each essential to the other.

Separate, each is

less. Together,

each is  more.
