Rendezvous

Beyond building and giving

and doing lies a place of rest.

I might meet myself there.

The Stillness Of Now

In the stillness I settle down and sleep,

grateful for all

that isn’t

present

now.

There’ll be

time enough

later to count

the many blessings of what was and is.

Hard Traveling Man

Riding along in

his grouch mobile, feeling each

and every bump, he

wails and flails to no avail

until he runs out

of gas. That should have stopped him,

but he continues on fumes.

Wait

Why am I talking?

The acronym “wait” should help –

sadly, it didn’t.

Unseasonal Greeting

I can’t help but think

that plastic polar bear

 waving to me from

 my neighbor’s yard

in this sixty degree weather

either got caught up

in the heat of the moment

or is directionally impaired.

On High

The moon rose up

before the sun went down –

heaven knows we need

all the light we can get.
