As the sun slowly
climbs over the horizon,
Knox invites me to
leap into this perfect
squirrel chasing day.

As the sun slowly
climbs over the horizon,
Knox invites me to
leap into this perfect
squirrel chasing day.

Comforting smell of woodsmoke,
golden light of rising sun –
assurance of warmth
on this cold day.
JDG
Low hanging mist –
shimmering divide
between earth and sky.

The crows have their own
way of singing in the rain
and it’s music to their ears.

Under a pink tinged sky,
Knox romps. Now that the rain
has stopped, he can better
save his precious sticks
from his enemies, the squirrels.

like Knox, my pampered dog.
I said ok…if
they’d keep the squirrels away.

Forecast is for rain,
but at the moment the sky,
though gray, is still clear. We walk.
JDG
Breeze, leaves and light put
on a sparkling show for all
who choose to attend.
JDG
Knox brought home
a stick of great worth.
Was dismayed when
he had to leave it outside
where it was sure
to be stolen by
mercenary squirrels.

Bare limbs etched against
red sky as the day comes to
a fiery end.
