Knox must have decided

after the storm we needed

a pick up so he picked up

the biggest stick he could find,

lifted it high, and pranced about.

If

If my thoughts had been

wandering in never land,

I’d have missed the small

purpler bloom in the grass… right

before me in present land.

JDG

Enough

In the slightest of drizzles

we walk. No sun, moon, or stars

accompany us. It’s just Knox and I,

drizzle, and gray sky

and for us that’s enough.

Hallelujah Chorus

Song birds herald

the end of rain,

the spread of birdseed.,

the start of day.

Through the window

the cats watch

but don’t join in.
