Severe Weather Alert
Waiting for a storm
that may or may not come, we
grow tired and fall asleep.

Grey clouds crowd the sky
leaving no room for the sun,
but still the birds sing
helping us to see that there’s
always a song to be sung

Tiny white flowers
huddle close to the ground
