The woods at evening

slowly grows darker until

the moon appears 

adding both mystery and light..

points at a bunny from her stroller,

eager for the day

 she too can hop.

the sky by storm,

those dark clouds

congratulated themselves

with a round of

thunderous applause.

and the sublime – each evokes

a smile however brief.

After a stormy night,

the air fills with

gently falling tears.

Across the river

 mountains of gray clouds line the shore –

a curiosity worth exploring,

like so many I have ignored before.

struggle to come to terms

each finds acceptable.
