Same sun
but
somehow different
after the storm –
now it’s so
golden and bright.

Same sun
but
somehow different
after the storm –
now it’s so
golden and bright.

I can’t feel poor when
there’s this scattering of gold –
Autumn’s yearly gift.
JDG
Gusty winds scatter
colorful leaves, creating
a moving picture.
JDG
Branches toss,
fallen leaves skitter,
nuts descend,
pumpkins ripen,
mums shine,
folks don sweaters,
geese fly south,
cardinals stay
as Autumn struts its stuff.
JDG
Going with the flow
is fine unless you’re headed
for a waterfall.
JDG
Slowly the trees burst
into fireless flames and
set the land aglow.
JDG
Knox saw a spider
and invited it to play,
but the spider showed
no interest much to Knox’s
dismay. It just crawled away.
JDG
Hoping to invite fall,
I wore a light sweater
and watched as the leaves
began to fall. Who knows?
If this works, I might try
wearing a bathing suit in late December
JDG
Thought she was a goner,
but Summer came back,
causing Fall to flee.
The next thing you know,
fallen leaves might decide
to reattach to trees.
JDG
On this, our last walk of the day,
I greet the slowly rising moon
and welcome each star
as Knox enthusiastically
sniffs everything along the way.
