Saying yes to no
when the workload overflows –
the best way to go.

Saying yes to no
when the workload overflows –
the best way to go.
JDG
this tiny moment
between two immensities –
a spark of eternity

How did one so young
become so wise?
In suffering, his truth was found.
That truth became his ground.

Green, red, and white lights
distantly dot the broad sea,
providing markers
for ocean travelers through
night’s haunting emptiness.
JDG
Hot coffee,
cold day.
No one’s up
but me.
Pink horizon,
calm sea.
Just the seagulls
and me.
JDG
Nowhere I must go.
Nothing I must do.
I lose myself
in the rising sun,
the gentle rush of waves,
the play of porpoises,
the flight of gulls.
JDG
Vacationing with introverts,
each relishing time alone –
restorative
intermittent hibernation.
JDG
Gently rolling waves
caress the shore.
Seagulls make their way
through softly falling rain.
It’s cold outside,
but I feel warm.
JDG
King of the pond,
the great blue heron
stands on the dock,
surveys his domain,
spots Knox,
flies away.
JDG
It makes for slow going,
this inner and outer fog
when I awoke,
but sometimes slow
is the best way to go.
