Joan, I’ve spent hours going through boxes of old photographs. Seeing my grandmother, Pearl Emerson, my parents, friends from school days . . . gives me eerie experiences of being in their presence. “Reunion” captures the realness. It feels like I’m dreaming . . .
For at least the next couple of months I’ll continue clearing things from my house so it can go on the market after 30 years of looking out at the lake. So much to do that I’ll miss getting together with dear friends like you. I may have told you I’ll be moving into a small studio apartment at St. Mary’s Woods, which means I’m letting go, not a strength of mine, of many cherished things. An advantage of the move is it should make it easier for you and I to meet at our Arby’s. I’m looking forward to you leading our book club discussion soon. Love to you,Kathy
