Roadside volunteers –

bachelor buttons,

daisies,

black-eyed Susans,

 Queens Anne’s lace –

line the highway

ready  to assist.

Whether standing motionless

or swaying in the breeze,

their uncultivated beauty

brings a smile and some ease.
