And Now I Am Waiting – a guest post by Janet Cook

And now I am waiting.

Hurrying up only to slow down.

Moving ahead one space, one place.

Feeling the weight of those behind me who are

Waiting.

After what seems like forever, my turn comes:

           To explain

           To propose

           To plead

An answer is given.

           (not the answer)

           (not the expected answer)

           (not the desired answer)

Thankful for AN answer.

Thankful for release

                        relax

                        rejoice

And now I am waiting.

Repeat.
