At day’s end I drove right into

a sky lit with

fire, igniting

my senses too.

It wasn’t long before the day’s

cares were consumed

and my burnt-out

phoenix heart rose

again, renewed and ready to

soar once more, fueled

with the beauty

of fading sun.
