Our once gentle calico cat

must have gone and

attended an

assertiveness

class. She’ll no longer quietly

sit and wait  for

  empty laps, or

behind -the-ear

  scratches.  Now she just provokes  with

pesky meows,

pestering pokes,

 and huffy hisses.
