can open the closed windows

So many wonders
missed as we thrash around in
worry’s undertow.

Wishing the rain would
wash away the mind’s debris,
water hope instead.
JDG
It’s just seventeen
syllables and I can’t seem
to come up with one.

Pink clouds mingle with
grey. The sky teaches us how
to hold differences.
JDG
So many chances
to learn, yet so few of them
are ever taken.
JDG
May we be guided
by love and reason as we
traverse these dark times.
JDG
Turning blind eyes to
unpleasant truths results in
a loss of vision.
JDG
Nothing witty or
profound was said, but at lunch
both our souls were fed.
JDG
Not singing in rain
on this cold December day.
