Just before sunrise

when all the world is asleep,

an owl suggests we wake up.

a sample and ended up

eating a full meal.

thunder claps as sky sheds tears

and sun disappears.

two baby rabbits and one

adoring mother.

Standoff in the sky:

brightly shining sun versus

scattered clouds of gloom.

It finally let go,

that last remaining fall leaf

that held on so long.

Outside in the sky

white clouds gather to welcome

the emerging sun.

A tiny bird sits

in the midst of purple blooms

singing in the rain.

Light rain greets the pond,

happy to be back again.

It’s been far too long.

in our neighborhood lets us

know that summer’s on its way.
