One more reminder
that I can’t
do this lying down
so now
I’m on the move.
JDG
Back to the dog park
after days of
being snowed in
at home.
Whoof de doo!
JDG
The tree is alive
with fluttering wings
awaiting
a turn
at the bird feeder.

Even that old,
overturned bucket
is transformed
into a thing of beauty
by the fallen snow.

Among the landscape
filled with glittering
patches of snow,
the stench of skunk lingers.
Life is a mixed bag.

We avoided
high opera,
my sister and I,
and parted
on an even note.
JDG
A cup of coffee
on a cold
and rainy day –
a simple pleasure
can keep the blues at bay.
JDG
Letting go
may take a while,
but I’m stretching
myself toward
a deep release.
JDG
Composing a poem
on my drive home
silences that inner voice
yammering on about
what I did or didn’t do.
