To Each His Own

We’re all story tellers

even if we don’t know it.

What’s in your repertoire –

high drama, comedy, mystery,

tragedy, historical fiction, or true romance?

In Memory Of Junie Myers

She always found a way,

even on the darkest of dark roads,

to bring light, love, and laughter

to the journey. She walked with us

through really rough patches

when the winds were howling

and lightning filled the air.

And when the sun broke through

or the full moon rose,

she was there too – sharing

a funny dog video or an inspiring tale.

It’s hard to imagine walking

without her by our side,

diet coke in hand.

A Typical Exchange

Knox: “Whimper, whimper, whimper.

Me:     “What is it, Boy?”

Knox: “Dog Park, Dog Park, Dog Park.”

Me:     “Not right now, Buddy.”

Knox: “Whimper, whimper, whimper.”

Me:     “It’s not all about you, my friend.”

Knox: “Whimper, whimper, whimper,  But, whimper, whimper, whimper,  it should be.”

Me:     “Give me a break.”

Knox: “Woof. That’s my point. Dog Park, Dog Park, Dog Park. Break, Break, Break.”

Me:    “Not now. Not now. Not Now.”

Knox: (Deep sigh. Shakes head. Lies down. Soft moan. “When will she ever learn? When?”
